Pike Family Reunion

Ahh . . . beautiful Bear Lake. We discovered this gem for the Pike Family Reunion in July. Lovely and pristine!

Jer and I rented a wave runner for a couple of hours, thinking the kids would be in heaven. Instead, my kids preferred to do this:

Eat Capris Sun juice pouches

Collect shells

Crawl hard and fast into the lake

Eat sand

Play with sand toys and give an evil eye

Jayce enjoyed the eating part and relaxing in the water on the shore line. Why don't I have pictures of him?

Jer and I were a little disappointed that the kids weren't stoked about the watercraft. Are they too young? (although Ty gets a pass). Or are are we raising docile children? :) I'm just glad they enjoyed themselves.

Here's the Pike brood. We're posing in front of the KOA restroom (I found the backdrop amusing, but the viewer would never know). We had a blast! I love Jer's fam' and look forward to our gatherings.

And, yes, I tried Bear Lake's famous raspberry shake. Divine!

We love Bear Lake, too. We haven't been, yet this summer, but it's on our "to do" list. Glad you and the kids had a good time. I am confused at why young children will taste sand repeatedly. Do they think it will taste better if they try it again? What's up with that? Ty is sooo cute. No wonder you are smitten.
