Jayce had his first kiss last Tuesday. His first kiss? Already? The preschool teacher caught him and a little neighbor girl exchanging affection during playtime. She quickly put a stop to it, but they continued to cuddle on the couch, and I guess they danced in her backyard. I never thought I'd have to give my four year-old "the talk," but I obviously need to spell out a few things. :) I realize we all have a history of preschool loves (Chad Crider was mine), but I will draw a line on kissing and overt displays. They were just so innocent and cute -- I couldn't help but smile about it.
Jayce's prayers are so hilarious. I look forward to his bedtime routine just so I can hear what he has to say. His parting thought the other night was, "Please bless Mom's hair will be better." After the prayer was over, I inquired about his plea.
"Mom, your hair is kind of sticking up and is a little messy. Go to Wal-Mart. There's a blow dryer that makes your hair different. Straight. Curly. Go there in the morning and buy it before it runs out."
Okay, in my defense, my hair was messy. But I had literally been throwing up all day and had suffered a miserable migraine. Primping was the last thing on my mind. And what is this magical blow dryer? I'm intrigued.
In another prayer, Jayce showed his conservationist side:
"Please bless that when Dad comes home he'll turn off the kitchen light when he goes to the living room. And when he leaves the living room, please bless that he he will turn off that light. When he walks in the hall, please bless that he will turn off that light when he goes into his bedroom to change his clothes, etc. . . . ." Grandpa Meyer would be proud!

That little boy is hilarious! Sydnie prayed the other night that we "wouldn't drink coffee" after she had seen a commercial on TV, and we had to do the Word of Wisdom discussion. If it weren't for our kids to keep us on our toes...
Congrats on the little boy! We're so excited for ours to get here! The worst part is just deciding on a name! I wish you better luck than we've had so far ;)
Lisa, I am so sorry you're still feeling sick (at least sometimes?)! I HATE being sick. But you are still managing to raise such a sweet little boy!! I love Jayce's prayers--so funny! I hope you enjoy the heavenly help in turning off all the lights. :) And I hope you feel better soon!
What a little womanizer! I am going to put Norah on the watch for those shinanigans at preschool! :-) Bless ask him to bless my hair, too. It can use a little help... what a little doll!
I hope you start feeling better soon.
HA! That is too funny!! I remember my first boyfriend in pre-school, but I'm amazed you still remember yours' last name! I love his little prayers. If you find that blow dryer, let me know if you'd like to split the cost & share custody of it with me. It sounds expensive & I'm good with 3.5 days a week of fabulous hair. :) It's better than my average 1 day a week. LOL
I hope you get to feeling better soon. Being sick to your stomach is the worst!
Jayce is just the cutest kid! I loved reading all about him! I wish I lived closer so I could help you out...hang in there!
That is so great! If I were in preschool I would exchange affections with him too!
You can't blame the little girl. He's such a cutie & so spiritual to boot! I hope you feel better soon. You've got about 4 months to go, right? Hang in there! I wish I could help you out some way. You obviously are an awesome mom even when barfing, so I don't know if you could even use my help... :-)
