Darth Vader defeated!

Back in March for our Disneyland trip, Jayce was one of those fortunate children picked to battle the evil Lord Vader (mwah hah hah). During that time of selection I had a knot in my stomach. I wanted him to participate so badly! As he eagerly ran to the front for his training, I looked around and saw the crushed faces of the other little boys. My elation turned to guilt. Everyone should have a turn!

My guilt was short-lived, however, as I focused on Jayce's mad Jedi skills. Hilarious!! He had a hard time flicking his light saber and needed lots of help. He didn't care. As far as he was concerned, he rocked!

Well, guess who forgot the camera? This digital pic was supplied by Disneyland -- we needed this moment documented, so we splurged. I admired Jayce's bravery against Vader . . . an intimidating figure indeed! I kept thinking, "Be nice to my little guy!" My worries were for naught (this is Disneyland, after all).

Jayce still proudly shows off his Jedi certificate . . . "Mom! I'm a real Jedi!" and will brag about his duel. A dream come true!

Woa! You have a brave one, Lisa! My boys would have freaked out while running the opposite direction! What a great picture of your fearless Jedi! I love it!

It's always good to have a real Jedi on hand in case of a Sith invasion! (my husband is the dork- not me)

This is seriously awesome. Do you think they will let me be a padowan? or better yet... a real jedi?

We loved the Jedi trainings while at Disney this spring! While my little one is still too small to actually use the force...it was one of the more entertaining things. We laughed forever! They do a great job! Way to go Jayce! Great seeing you this weekend!

Awesome pic!

I'm glad you didn't feel guilty for too long. It's hard to get chosen, better enjoy it!

I'm glad to hear you're feeling better these days. You're awesome, too! :)
