Introducing . . .

8 lbs., 11 oz. & 20.5 in.

Lights eyes and red hair, perhaps? We think it's mostly blond, but we do see of tinge of red.

I've decided that I'm the WORST photographer, EVER! I can't seem to find a picture that does him justice. But just take my word for it . . . he's very cute. :) Tricia? Karin? HELP!

At the doctor's urging I decided to go with an induction -- a difficult decision for me. The OB was worried that I would go into labor really fast, so he wanted to go a couple of days early to be on the safe side. I was SO nervous, but everything turned out well. It was the easiest, least-complicated delivery thus far. Not that I'm advocating for inductions -- the labor might have gone just as well without the pitocin. I'm just relieved everything worked out.

The kids were anxious to see him. As they ran into the hospital room, they were way too hyper. But who could blame them? Babies are so exciting!! Alyssa looked at him, and with the sweetest, most high-pitched voice said, "Hello, cutie!" Jayce, though, has been the most doting and caring sibling. He loves his brother and is constantly at his side, analyzing his facial expressions, body movements, reactions, etc. He finds the baby so fascinating and insists on holding him as much as possible. Alyssa has been busy with Grandma and hasn't had much time for baby cooing.

My mom has been here the last few days and has saved my sanity. It's been nice to rest and focus on the baby. She'll leave tomorrow, though, so my ability to mother three little ones will be put to the test. A few of you might get frantic phone calls if I'm not up for the task. :)
