Jer, in his continuing quest to be Super Dad, took each child on his/her own Disneyland trip in February. Our season passes black out Saturdays from March to August, so he figured a couple of quick trips in February would be worth it. It's a rare occasion to have one-on-one time with Dad, so the kids had a blast. Alyssa's weekend was filled with princesses and roller coasters and Winnie the Pooh (something Jayce would have protested), while Jayce's was filled with Star Wars, the Haunted Mansion, and Soarin' Over California (ditto for Alyssa). No arguments or tears . . . Dad was there to fulfill their individual Disneyland desires.

I LOVE this photo. She was so happy approaching the princesses. THIS picture demonstrates the very reason why Jer and I go to the trouble and expense of these Disneyland trips.
This is Alyssa's all-time fave pic. "Why?" I asked. "Because Snow White is hugging me and she's wearing a red cape."
Alyssa's prefers Sleeping Beauty overall because she wears a pink dress. Pink. What is it about pink? The other day Alyssa said her favorite color was brown, and I got a little excited thinking she was breaking out of the typical girl mold. Alas, she may say "brown," but in her heart she always goes back to pink.
Note: Jer did Alyssa's hair that morning, in case you're wondering why it doesn't look stylin' (he wanted me to clarify). Personally, I think he did a fine job. Thanks, Jer, for taking the kiddos! Taking a complimentary phrase from my mom, "You're a scholar and a gentleman!"

How fun!! Alyssa looks so happy in those pics! Hayleah is the same way about princesses... it's all about Sleeping Beauty, but really only because she's dressed in fabulous pink most of the time. LOL

This is the cutest idea!! I love the fact that they got to choose everything they wanted---they must have felt SO special and loved. Wow! I wish we lived closer so we could do this too.
By the way, I thought Alyssa's hair looked quite good---good job, Dad!
Wow! What happy kids! You guys are so lucky to like close enough to enjoy a season pass. We were hoping to be there this week during our spring break, but alas, I'm still not feeling better...ugh.
