Sadly, I failed. When the big day arrived I kept his tooth for safe keeping, but that evening I couldn't remember where that safe place was. I ended up writing a note to T.F., explaining how Mom lost it, and tucked it under his pillow. All was forgiven -- Jayce just wanted was his first "piece of money." And in another attempt at being the flightiest mother ever, I nearly forgot my tooth fairy role. Jer reminded me at midnight, so the deed was accomplished at the last-minute. Jayce was ecstatic with his $5 (talk about inflation!) and is anxious for the next. I don't think I'm anxious . . . each tooth represents his increasing maturity, and I'm not ready to lose my sweet little boy!

Why is it that losing teeth scares me and grosses me out? ew... 5 bucks eh? sheesh! :)Congrats on being brave.
He looks so happy! We have had many late night tooth fairy visits at our house, too. Ours gives stickers to make up for that silly inflation thing. Although, I have to say that I remember giving a five dollar bill when we didn't have any change that day. Hope Justin forgets that...
Norah told me right after school that Jayce lost his tooth. She was so excited for him and his "prize" from the Tooth Fairy. I am afraid she might start pulling all her teeth out now! :-) Way to go Jayce!
The Stage! Seriously Lisa, what will you give me for my wisdom teeth...I have them around here somewhere.
