And I've delayed posting about a rite-of-passage for every family . . . our eldest attending school for the first time!!!
Oscar red carpet, Paris Hilton arrivals/departures, first day of kindergarten -- all magnets for crazed photogs, begging for that perfect shot. Goodness!!! I could not believe the fanfare.

Handsome Jayce -- I am SO proud of him. He was so confident and ready for his first day. Love that kid!
As far as how school is going, Jayce is an excellent student. He's well-behaved, he gets along with his classmates, and he's becoming a great reader. I haven't had to worry about him, yet.

Not the best shot, but here's Jayce with some familiar faces (Lexa and Jackson). We're really lucky this year -- five kids from the ward are in his class, and our next door neighbor is in there as well. I'm sure that made the transition easier.

Lining up to enter the classroom.

Inside the classroom, ready for instruction. I wouldn't have bothered with this shot, but every other parent was peering through the window taking an inordinate amount of pictures. Suddenly I felt that I would be seen as less caring and more aloof if I didn't include an inside shot as well. So there you have it -- I was officially among the throng.
