Squishy Face

Brynn was so thrilled when Ty and I came to get her from her nap -- had to take pictures of her silliness.  She anticipated the flash, however, thus the closed eyes.  I'm loving her wild hair and wonder if hers will eventually be curly like mine (perish the thought!).

Ty loves to greet Brynn, hop in her crib, and then he'll jump around like a maniac.  He's so enthusiastic when his little co-hort wakes up, so it's the daily ritual. And, yes, I recognize he has no clothes.  Any suggestions on how to keep a two year-old dressed in the warm weather?  I've given up on the battle.

As I went running this morning, I listened to my iphone (normally I jog with Sherri, but I was solo today). Ended up jogging to the Fresh Beat Band, Big Time Rush, and the Tangled soundtrack.  No wonder my pace was slow!  And for my final leg, a rousing rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Mis  (so beautiful, yet soooooo soooo sad).  I need to pep-up and de-kidify my playlist.   

And please crown me Wife of the Year.  I forgot about my husband's birthday until AFTER he got to work.  Where did May go?  I knew the date was approaching, I just didn't realize it was today.  After some scrambling I'm hoping I can still pull off a nice celebration for tonight.  The kids and I did call him to render our most on-key, heart-felt rendition of Happy Birthday.  It was a very serious phone call -- no obnoxious additions at all :)  Happy Birthday, Jer!  Fortunately, he and I pretty low-key, so I'm easily forgiven (although it probably shouldn't be that way).
