There's something in the air . . .

You know that tingly feeling you get when you know something is about to happen? You have an extra spring in your step, the sky is bluer, the grass is greener, and the birds are chirpier? Well, I have fallen into that cliche . . . BYU football season is upon us and I cannot wait!

Each year I vow to be apathetic. "They'll dash your hopes, yet again!" my brain keeps telling me. Logically, I should be relieved I'm far away from the Provo action -- the emotions don't run as deep when you're at a distance. But I have to say, I get the most homesick this time of year.
.
With my special delivery looming, I'll be unable to make a game. Last year I took a spontaneous, kid-free trip to see the UCLA game. Pure elation! I'm convinced that the reason we won so handily was because I was there, in the stands, where I belong! My dwindling presence has definitely hurt our performance these past few years. :)

Okay, I'm being dramatic. I realize that in the grand scheme of things, football is trivial. Despite my excitement, I'm more excited to meet my new son . . . I promise!

GO COUGS!!!!

You're so funny! I, too, am excited for football season and everything it brings with it! The crowds, the cooler weather, the beautiful Provo mountains covered in Fall colors - it's perfect!

Although I am not a BYU fan and vow never to be, football indeed equals cooler weather, which I am all for! Yay for football!

You meant to say you are excited for your son...the future cougar quarterback...to arrive :) Seriously though, the air is cooler up here, and it feels like it should be game season which adds to the anticipation.

I love your blogs. I can't wait for life to slow down...just a little...so I can actually impart a little thought or wisdom into them instead of blatant reiteration of fact. I'm so excited for you and your soon to be new baby boy! I wish I was closer so I could bring you dinner ;) Or cheer on those Cougars all together!

Go Cougars! I'm so sad that we didn't get tickets to the OU/BYU game. Tickets are now in the $400 range for 1!
