Ty and Food Frustrations

Here are some updated pics of Ty:

He sleeps a lot (except every other night between the hours of midnight and 5 a.m.), he LOVES to eat, and he likes to play the sticking-out-the-tongue game (the one where Mom sticks out her tongue and he does the same). Sometimes he's pretty fussy, but most of the time he's calm amid the chaos. I haven't been able to peg down his personality, yet, but we're having fun with him.
.
On another note, during my pregnancy I had to avoid ingesting many things so as not to make the nausea/heartburn worse -- water, bread, fruits, vegetables, most meats, etc. I was pretty much limited to bland carbs and milk (miserable, I tell you!). I remember fantasizing about all the food varieties I could eat once Tyler was born. I dreamt of salads, grapefruit, lemonade, ice water, deli meats, juices, etc. As soon as he was delivered, it was like a switch was turned on . . . I was me again, and my appetite felt normal.
.
So you would think I would take advantage of this new-found freedom. After all, I had been waiting for this moment for months on end. What do I crave now? Ice cream. Forget the fruits, vegetables, and all the things that are good for me. I have developed an unbelievable sweet tooth -- exactly what I need when I'm trying to get back my girlish figure. Grrrr!

Go ahead and eat the ice cream for a bit. :) You have 6 weeks to heal, and I heard the dr. say you should eat all the ice cream your body craves. ;)

Maybe we need to meet for ice cream one night or maybe we should try "diet ice cream" AKA frozen yogurt! Ty is beautiful. Enjoy your sweet little baby.

He is darling! Ice cream is good for nursing mothers- especially frosties from Wendys and rootbeer floats from A&W. Thanks for sharing the cute pics. Hope you start getting more sleep. :)
