Ice Skating

Since we wanted a real winter experience away from Vegas, we tackled ice skating. We headed to the Seven Peaks Ice Arena for some fun.

Alyssa is awfully young, but we attempted the skating thing anyway. I'm so glad we took her -- she was thrilled with those fancy skates and couldn't stop looking at her feet.
.
Here is the moment right before we entered the rink . . . such trepidation! (mwa ha ha).
Here is their first moment on the ice. Alyssa sure had fun, but it was definitely tiring for me since I had to balance both of us. Jayce must have my Canadian blood flowing through him -- he took right to it, and I'm guessing we could have a future hockey player on our hands. The video doesn't reflect how great he was. He was so confident and skated around the rink until his little legs got too tired. He did great!!!

Wow! I'm impressed! You guys were brave! I'm glad you had a fun time! I took Justin there two years ago and we could hardly stay up! My hockey playing brother, Jared, raced around the rink with Justin on his shoulders. That freaked me out! Now I'm gearing up for Justin's roller skating night for his school. Sounds like Jayce is a little pro...maybe he could teach Justin a thing or two before we go!
