Why did I photograph a suitcase, you may ask. Sadly, this suitcase has been sitting in our bedroom for nearly three weeks, still packed from our Utah trip.
Here's the background -- Jeremy was unable to join us for most of our time in Utah, so I drove up with the kids a week earlier and he flew up Christmas Eve night with this lowly carry-on bag. After hours of unpacking multiple suitcases for the kids and me, and I told him, in typical dramatic fashion, that my greatest New Year's wish would be that he unpack his own. Normally he takes care of it, but because I brought it up numerous time I think he enjoyed my obvious torture. :) Well, the nagging is over, and here it sits. I refuse to cave!!! I keep thinking that he'll eventually need something out of it. How long will I hold out? Forever! How long will he? I can't handle the suspense!!! We no longer mention the suitcase issue, yet it's looming over both of us. Fortunately, this is all good-natured fun. I promise -- no marital tension! :)

Next up: thermostat wars!!!

I'm totally laughing! It took us weeks to unpack our 6 suitcases from the Christmas trip we never actually took. We were on strike. Maybe if we never unpacked that would mean we could go on that fun trip? Didn't happen...darn. Maybe Jer is holding out for a Valentine's getaway with you??? It could happen!
There is an Everybody Loves Raymond episode on this exact thing! They left the suitcase on the stairs, and it sat for weeks. Ray had to go on a trip, and tried to pack his clothes in grocery bags so he wouldn't have to give in! Hopefully it won't get to that point, but be strong! I've got your back! Don't give in! BTW I miss my friend!
Let me know when he unpacks it! There are some bags in our bedroom that are full of clothes we bought for Todd a month ago. They're still sitting on the floor in front of his dresser. Men.

Love it.
This is so funny. It always amazes me how long I can put off doing something. Sometimes I've realized that I've had something sitting out "to be put away" for over a month (like when it's time to go to the temple, and I see our temple suitcases still sitting on the floor of our closet where we left them the last time!). Of course, in your case, it's not laziness, it's a matter of principle! Keep it up. :)
Ha! I thought of that Everybody Loves Raymond episode too! Good luck!
I think this is a war that is commonly fought among the houses of the world. We have a suitcase in our retreat as I write with a few items in it.. and he wonders where all of his underwear went. Hmmm... (By the way, they are clean clothes in there- dirty were removed for sanitary reasons)
We have had the same wars. Oh well just remember to KEEP STRONG!
Lol, that's great! Hopefully Kayelynn is right and he's just wants to be prepared for a getaway with you. ...Or maybe he's using it as a 72-hour kit? Is there any food, flashlights, or butane ovens in there? Just tryin' to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Been there, done that, too! He will get to it....................................
That reminds me of my little battle with Sheri...she decided she won't shower until I do the laundry. Unfortunately both of us stink...:) By the way, congrats on the latest news!!!
This is great...you so need a bed warmer wherein you can play tricks in the middle of the night...oh yea, and I am back! at least for now!
